Plans for Post Covid-19 🌹

Updated: May 7, 2020

This period of quarantine due to Covid-19 has been very challenging for several people in more ways than one. Majority of us have been affected whether directly by the illness itself or indirectly by all the precautions put in place to keep us safe. Several individuals have lost loved ones, lost their job, lost their business, lost potential memories like graduations, baby showers, proms, birthday celebration or basically lost a portion of their freedom including self care time.

Despite all the negatives make a choice to focus on the positives and future possibilities. Successfully surviving the virus and this time period is something to be thankful for. Increased quality time with close family or friends and decreased distractions/obligations may also be positives to consider within this time period.

So thinking forward and utilizing positive energy let’s discuss options of things to enjoy after all precautions and restrictions are finally lifted.

1. Hit the beach: If there is a beach nearby you can enjoy the sun and sand with close friends, family, alone or someone special. This is a great way to decompress after all the indoor time. Also note you can still safely keep your distance from others if you time it just right.

2. Gym Time: Whether you are headed back or starting up especially to drop some pandemic pounds, exercise is a great stress reliever and is usually a positive place full of people working on themselves.

3. Travel: It doesn’t matter if you are hopping on a plane, bus, or in your car, when safe, plan a getaway and celebrate your new expanded freedom.

4. Book a cruise: Book ahead of time and utilize the all time low prices. Cruises can be booked several months in advance so wait for the 100% all clear from the CDC.

5. Brunch time: For those of us who were serial brunchers and miss our mimosas get the gang together at your favorite spot and enjoy. Brunch is also great for those with limited free time or limited funds that don’t allow for extensive travel/trips.

6. Church: Let’s not forget the church family. If you were actively involved in your church community post covid suggest to the congregation a welcome back event for all members. You can even help organize if time allows.

7. Get-togethers: If you have the space/time throw a small gathering in you home or a convenient location. Invite friends and family you have not seen for weeks and missed dearly.

In life even the most stressful situations shall pass, Covid-19 is no different. So start planning your post covid reconnection events. It’s never too early to start looking at the brighter side of this situation 🌹
